Book Review: Scratch Beginnings – Me, $25 and The Search for the American Dream

If you had nothing, and I mean nothing, could you survive? And I am not talking about Neil Strauss’ survival. Could you make it on your own with no connections, no hook-up’s, and worst of all no support? I like to think I could, but I would never know unless I tried. Adam Shepard has and this is his book Scratch Beginnings he tells his extraordinary tale.

Review: Fit and Busy Dad Blog

Currently, I am not too fit and not too busy. So when I received a comment on my site from Chris Lopez of the Fit and Busy Blog, I quickly felt like the laziest person to date. Not for fault to Chris Lopez at all. In fact, Lopez has inspired me to realize my fitness and health potential even when I am as lazy as I have been. And that’s why I am giving Chris’s site FitandBusyDadBlog.com my support.

Review: Dreamin’ the Life

Recently, I have been up late reading many a blogs and twittering into the night. It can be tough trying to find quality information and entertaining posts out there at times as just about anyone can write a blog (this is where I look in the mirror). With the browsing I have done, there is a personal development blog that seems to sit near the top with the few truly inspirational personal development blogs. That being Dreamin’ the Life.

Dreamin’ the Life is run by a young woman who appears to go by the pseudonym of ‘Karen’. Actually, I think her real name is Karen, but having a pseudonym would be so much cooler, so I will run with that. Anyways, back to her great blog. Dreamin’ the Life focuses on her experiences and lessons in life. Whether it be life lessons from her goldfish or failing on a week-long challenge, Karen discusses what relates well to you and I through interesting and enjoyable personal experiences.

Website Review: Epic Self

Lately, I have tried to be more positive. For me, this is one of the toughest things in life. I love critiquing. I love to to improve myself and those around me. I always think we have the potential to be better. I am always looking for a new aspect of my life to be better at. However, I may not always approach my critiquing in the best manner. I may be too tough on others or myself at times. I may not reinforce the positive reasons around my negativity. So, what I have done is envelop myself in techniques I have never tried or given up quickly. One site that will help and has helped in many ways is Epic Self.

Review: Potential2Success

I remember my first non-father basketball coach telling me, “David, if you actually put some hard work in, you have some potential to be great at basketball.” At the time I was a 13 year old kid who didn’t care much. But looking back, it actually did effect me. I practiced harder and became a decent high school basketball player.

After reading through Potential2Success for the last few days, I am starting to hear that voice again.
