Prepping for Tomorrow

k-main_FullOn the way to my old job, I would commute about 10 minutes. In that commute I would see woman putting make up on, men eating breakfast, and everyone being generally distracted. Obviously, this really pissed me off. They would swerve everywhere and cause multiple accidents. And I was just traveling about 6 miles. So many accidents and injuries could have easily been prevented by people Prepping for Tomorrow.

By the time, 7 o’clock rolls around in the morning, I usually can have a workout, shower, be dressed, and have eaten breakfast. I always feel prepared for the day and excited I am not rushing anywhere. My day is almost always better when I am organized for what is to come the night before.

The following are a few organization suggestions to improve your Prepping for Tomorrow:

  • Have your clothes laid out.
  • Think about what needs to be done
  • Write a list of things to do before leaving the home and for the entire day.
  • Make sure you have food to make a quick healthy breakfast
  • Clean the areas you enter every morning
  • Set your alarm 5 minutes earlier than normal
  • Schedule 10 minutes of ‘Me’ time: 5 for stretching and waking and 5 for sitting, breathing, relaxing

Try these tonight. I thoroughly believe that a person who prep’s for the day ahead will come out ahead in the long run.

(Sorry for the short post today friends. Had a busy night working on an exciting new project…I promise better tomorrow)

Have a great day!!!

  1. Hey Dave, I like the way you take simplicity. I can see you becoming a natural early riser with your ‘set your alarm 5 minutes earlier’ tip. But I also like your way of planning. Great tips.

This is a short, but wise post. It seems that most wisdom is simple, anyway… I used to be one of those people getting ready or eating the car on the way to work at my old corporate job a couple years ago…

It’s so true that it’s all about planning. Even just to plan five more minutes. Now, I find that it is so much simpler to do this, that rush around being stressed and late!

    Dave, good stuff!
I’ve worked on becoming an early riser, so early rising isn’t much of a problem for me now, but I still need too much ‘me’ time in the morning to work off the haze. 10min sounds awesome.

Love the post. It’s short and to the point. Usually i prepare before hand during important days. I learned that tension can be high if i try to get ready on the day itself. And of course mistakes are likely to happen.

Great idea. I have saved myself millions of headaches by being prepared the night before.

Hope you enjoyed LE and see you back soon.
