Monthly Goal Report – February 2011

Monthly Goal Report – February 2011

It was a short one, but a grand one at that. February has come and gone and it’s time to share the goal results and look ahead to see what I am tackling in March.

What I Accomplished in February

50-50 isn’t great and it isn’t horrible. All it is is a starting point to something more.

I had set four primary goals for the month of February. Listed below are the goals along with how I did in each.

  • Start a Design Company – Completed! I built a worldwide walking brand. In February, I launched one of the projects I knew would be fun. I started Dub D Designs which was primarily a few shirts with my thoughts and site names. It definitely was not anything spectacular, but it was something I kind of wanted to do after seeing Steve Kamb and Mars Dorian take the leap too. The logo for Dub D Designs is over to the right and you can check out the Dub D Collection by clicking here.
  • Going to Outsource One Thing – I had been putting this one off for years and finally achieved this not once but twice. As you can see the Dub D Designs logo above, you may realize fairly quickly that it is fairly professional. That’s because it was outsourced. For $27 and a few requested details, LogoNerds came up with quite the logo I must say. I also outsourced a fun video intro that I may use in the future for some videos here. I ran across Fiverr, a site where you can request practically anything be done for $5, and I ended up getting this pretty cool video intro you can check out below.

  • Have 100 Facebook Likes for the LifeExcursion Page - I didn’t come close to reaching this one. In fact, it was fairly sad how few Facebook likes I received on the Life Excursion Facebook page. With a measly 35 Facebook Likes, I could definitely use your support so head on over here and Like if you can.
  • Finish DESTINATION X…My Latest eBook - I definitely did not finish my latest project in Destination X. The main reason I didn’t finish was because this project keeps getting bigger and better. I have finished most of the eBook itself, but I am going to go BIGGER and try to make as big of an impact on your lives as possible. Therefore, it’s taking a little longer. What I Learned

As with most months, I come away feeling like I am wiser and more prepared for what I want in my life. There was a lot of great things going on in my personal life, but I maintained my course on achieving big dreams.

Something I have always preached has been to set big goals. I feel like I did that with the Destination X eBook goal. Sure, I didn’t achieve the goal, but I worked my tail off to make it even more of a reality. My vision of what I want it to be is much clearer and I feel like it will change people’s lives.

I love learning and I know that with the launch (fingers crossed) of my most influential project to date that I will definitely learn a lot in March.

March 2011 Goals

  • Finish Destination X ProjectI made this a goal again because it needs to become a reality. Sure, I worked my tail off last month, but I need to work even harder to realize my dreams. This is a big one. If I do nothing other than launch this project, I will be a very happy man.
  • Become a Freelance Writer – It’s been a while since I made a significant amount of income from my online efforts. Hopefully, Destination X will change that. But I want to do as I preach and create multiple streams of income. To make this a reality, I will be venturing into the world of freelance writing (if someone hires me).
  • Complete a Month-Long Fruitarian Diet – Here are the rules…all fruit & nuts…all the time. My fiancée and I will be testing these waters. I have wanted to try a fruitarian diet for quite some time. I have done the vegetarian thing, but I love fruit so this shouldn’t be too difficult. We get one cheat day a week which will be gorging on anything and everything. I am interested to see the results and will be sharing in the future.

Yep, not too many goals for March. However, the BIGGIE is Destination X so I don’t want to overwhelm myself. I want to succeed at that goal and have more opportunities via that project. Next month will be completely different once I knock these goals out this month.

I hope you come along for the ride and don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
