Awesome. As in: you are...

Keep flying your own flag! For every person out there complaining about their life and resentful for you living yours successfully unconventionally, there is someone like me who is quietly reading your blog thinking, "Almost....almost there...these 17 hour days will be worth it. That life is possible."

Hey Dave!

Out of the points you made, the best is the "fly-your-own-flag" mindset. I think I'm going to steal that from you because I'm a believer in transcending labels, especially trivial ones like political affiliations or nationality.

Very cool stuff, and I'll try to donate as much as I can.

Good luck, man.

I don't have much money but I really like the blog so I gave what I can. These days, not having the tools is really the only thing that can stop a hardworking, passionate person. I got a flip cam for some consulting I did and I'm thinking about doing video updates of my surgery/recovery of about two months.

It's apparently pretty difficult to recover from so I think getting feedback from people on it would be good to keep me motivated and it could help others who undergo major surgery in the future--the hardest part about pre-op research is finding people's personal experiences.

Also, Gary Vee is the man.

It's funny to me...I have always hated to listen to people complain and complain, and never do one damn thing to make a difference. It is one of the biggest problems with my marriage...

As I go through my divorce, all the women, that are unhappy in their lives, tell me how Brave I am...and truth is, I don't feel brave. Unfortunatly, I see, that for them, this is something they cannot do. For me, it was something I HAD to do.
What I tell people...do something, just do something.

Great post, Dave! My favorite quote: "Do you really want an SUV or do you want a 6 month sabbatical on some Caribbean island?" Hell YES! Now that is the mindset that I'm talking about!!

Keep living the dream & being an inspiration. :)

I'm still developing my ideal lifestyle, but I can see what you mean here. I do a work that I love and for this reason some people think I don't really work (which is funny).
