Goals: August – 2009

Starting this moment, I am going to start blogging goals for my life and LifeExcursion. Let me explain why…

I know some people, like Leo Babauta of ZenHabits, which is a website I love, believe goals are a way to set yourself up for disappointment. I see it from a completely different light. I feel that setting my goals at achievable levels is a great way to focus. I tend to put all of my energy towards goals that I have desire for. If I fail at achieving my goals, I have the tendency to try harder and usually succeed the next time around.

I will be posting my goals here as a way to get you inspired to set goals for yourself. I also want to be accountable for my own actions and by presenting my goals to you all, I will be motivated to achieve them. Also, having fans out there is a great way to motivate me during the tough times.

The following are my realistic goals for the next 3-4 weeks:

Personal Goals:

  • Lose 15 pounds
  • Be prepared for the World’s Toughest Half Marathon September 6th in Santa Barbara.
  • Get a part time job to supplement income.

LifeExcursion Goals:

  • Get 5 subscribers
  • Have an average of 50 viewers a day
  • Write a blog that receives 10 comments

I believe these goals are achievable, but will be looking for all of your help in making these a reality.

Thanks for the support!!!
