Most goals we establish can be accomplished in as little as 5 minutes?
That’s right…5 minutes!
When you read those lines, your mind is telling you, “This dude is crazy. I can’t accomplish anything in 5 minutes.” Your brain is lying to you though. The reason is that we look at goals as only the significant ones. Let me explain…
If I asked you what one of your goals were, you might respond with, “To buy a mansion.” Yes, this is a goal. However, this is a major, end-game goal. These goals are only accomplished by accomplishing hundreds if not thousands of smaller goals. Yes the mansion is the end goal, but the goals it is built on have much more significant value to your success.
Question Your Goals
What if you flipped your perspective of goals on it’s head? That way, you first thought about one of the thousands of small goals and lastly, thought about the major goal.
It can be tough. I know. However, the reason you are reading this is because you want to succeed. So, we are going to flip a lot of things on their head to see if doing them differently will work for you. (It usually does!)
Action Step:
- Write down the biggest goal you have. — Yes, write it down. Do not skip actually physically doing this.
- Write below that goal three actions you could do to make that goal a reality in 5 minutes. — Yes, write this down. If you don’t, you are wasting your time here.
- Take the next 5 minutes and do just one of those three 5 minute actions. — Yes, you can stop reading for 5 minutes and go do it.
It’s as simple as that.
Once you actually simplify the whole process of accomplishing your goal, you will actually start to accomplish goals.
There is not one person out there who has simplified their goal and not become closer to their goal afterwards.
You can take this action step further by breaking down a list of twenty 5 minute action steps. Then just start doing them one-by-one until they are crossed off. Accomplishing your goal will become extremely manageable and you will be closer to it than ever before.
Good luck and I am always here to help you achieve goals!

Hi ! your idea really works and it helps prevent procastination.
If we divide a bigger goal into moltiple short term goals it looks more achievable. Also it is easier to push yourself to do a five minute task than asking yourself that the drudgery is going to last for hours.
It has really made my life exciting. I feel I am achieving more.
Thanks for the tip and god bless you !
I just dropped back to reread this page. Wheneever I lose my way and Direction and see that the taks ahead are insurmountable I like coming back to this page just to realise how the greatest of tasks could be broken down into five minute goals. And this is the most logical thing to do.
